Dermablading

Dermablading is a quick and painless treatment and is a form of manual exfoliation.  It is a noninvasive, non-chemical, deep manual exfoliation that exfoliates the epidermis and ridding the skin of fine hair (peach fuzz).

Dermablading is performed by using a disposable sterile surgical blade. When using the blade, the outer most layers of dead skin cells are removed with light feathering strokes to smooth away the surface layer of the skin. This procedure is highly customizable and can be performed on a small area or on the entire face.

What Does the Procedure Feel Like?

It is a painless procedure and can be compared to the sensation of shaving. While using the blade with one hand the other hand will pull an area of your skin taut.  Dermablading is safe and highly effective in anti-aging benefits.

Who Could Benefit from Dermablading?

Dermablading can be useful for all skin types except acne prone skin.  It is especially effective for those with dry or rough skin texture and helps to minimize superficial acne scarring or uneven skin tone.

As we age, mature skin cells tend to turnover at a slower rate and cause buildup.  Dermablading can be very effective at remove this buildup.

It is a first choice for those who have excess fine hair (peach fuzz) on the skin.  These hairs tend to cause buildup of dirt and oils in the follicles.  Removal of this hair can give a healthier smoother looking skin.

Dermablading can be an effective alternative to chemical peels for those with sensitive skin.  Those who experience redness and/or rosacea may benefit from this treatment as dermablading does not break the capillaries on the face.

How Often is Dermablading Recommended?

This procedure can be performed as often as every month.

What Are the Benefits of Dermablading?

You will typically see immediate benefits.  The procedure is usually completed between 30-45 minutes and does not cause any trauma to the skin.  There is little to no downtime.  A chemical peel with one of our trained medical professionals, using our ZO Skin Health products, is a great way to make sure the peel penetrates deeper and more evenly.
